The regulation
New guarantee information rules from 27 September 2026
Directive (EU) 2024/825 ("Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition") amends the Consumer Rights Directive. Traders must now use a harmonised notice to inform consumers about the legal guarantee of conformity, and a harmonised label when a producer offers a commercial guarantee of durability longer than two years at no extra cost.
